BIOGRAPHY

Lori Espinoza began working as Assistant Director at Rice School Literacy and Culture in July, 2024. Formerly the lead at the Rice OWL Lab at Gabriela Mistral Center for Early Childhood in Houston ISD, Lori has extensive experience in creating language-rich and culturally responsive learning environments. She has also been a mentor, curriculum developer, and advocate for early childhood education, with notable contributions to dual language learner support and family engagement. Her innovative work has been featured in various media, including PBS NewsHour. In this role, Lori will advance evidence-based practices and inclusive education initiatives.
